The Roborock Qrevo CurvX’s Slim Frame Reaches Under Furniture Better Than Other Robot Vacuums We’ve Tested

It doesn’t matter how much suction power they have if they leave a dust strip beneath your couch or skip the crumbs tucked between dining chairs.The Roborock Qrevo CurvX aims to change that. The vacuum itself is one of the slimmest I’ve tried, only 3.14 inches tall, and it worked its way under and around low furniture more successfully than many flagship models can manage, including the Roborock Qrevo QV 35A, our Best Overall pick. The CurvX doesn’t completely eliminate the need (every hard-to-reach space in your home could always benefit from some extra attention), but it significantly cuts down on it.Instead of leaving awkward dry halos around chair legs and table bases, the mop heads on the CurvX actually extend out from the vacuum body to clean areas other models might miss. It still can’t squeeze into every possible corner, but I noticed fewer untouched spots under furniture, partly thanks to its low height. Most standard robot vacuums are close to four inches tall, so this model is relatively slender.The chassis also lifts up to 4 centimeters, working its way over thresholds and area rugs without issue. Pair that with the long side brush, and there isn’t much debris left behind.The mop heads rotate at 200 rpm, and during my initial testing, I did notice some streaks left behind as it cleaned lingering flour dust. The docking station is self-cleaning and self-refilling, and it rinses the mop heads with 176-degree hot water. The mop heads are removable, and the fabric might need a good hand-washing if you’re dealing with sticky or extra-fine material, or noticing track marks as it cleans.Suction Power Rivals Other ModelsMany of the robot vacuums we recommend fall somewhere between 4,000 and 12,000 pascals of suction power. But I’d consider this a high-end or premium model, so I expect suction power to perform better than other versions. The CurvX didn’t let me down.Trevor RaabIt reaches 22,000 pascals at max levels, which is more than enough for tackling daily maintenance cleaning, as well as handling different types of debris. The robot vacuum didn’t struggle to pick up fine flour, corn flakes, uncooked rice, and pet hair from low-pile carpet, concrete, and laminate floors. The roller brushes have spiral paddles and bristles to dislodge debris, and I could hear it picking up crumbs that were slightly embedded below the carpet surface.Features Feel User-FocusedThe Roborock companion app is the most surefire way to get the most out of your robot vacuum. Mapping during the first clean took about 30 minutes, but that time will vary if you have multiple different floor types or a lot of furniture; this process ensures the vacuum avoids trouble areas and doesn’t mop carpeted floors, so it’s worth the wait. Plus, this is the place where you customize cleaning schedules and designate no-go zones. I like to use my app to monitor how long it takes the robot vacuum to clean, what areas it avoided in case there was accidental clutter, and battery life.If you have pets that might get spooked by an autonomous robot roaming about your house, the robot vacuum has pet recognition technology and two-way video calling for interacting with furry friends while you’re away.The docking station is impressive, with enough capacity to hold debris for up to seven weeks (you may have to empty the dirty water tank earlier than that to avoid odors, though).Trevor RaabShould You Buy the Roborock Qrevo CurvX?Beyond vacuum suction and mopping performance, thoughtful features like the extendable mop heads, thinner design, hot-air-drying mop heads, and a useful app make this a worthwhile investment to add to your cleaning tool arsenal.
