The resort is expected to open its doors to guests in time for summer next year (Picture: CABU) When it comes to staycations, few places are as highly desired as the Cotswolds. Surrounded by rolling hills, rich history and some of the most charming villages England has to offer, it’s become one of the most sought-after destinations in the country. To the dismay of residents who’ve long complained about the growing issue of mass tourism, popular spots such as Castle Combe, Bourton-on-the-Water, and Bibury attract upwards of 300,000 visitors every year. And, judging by a new luxury development due to open in the area in 2027, things aren’t about to get any quieter. CABÜ is a lifestyle brand and holiday provider that specialises in luxury cabin resorts. With two locations already in Kent and Ireland, the company is now opening a third in Langley, Oxfordshire. Prospective guests recently got a glimpse at what this decadent £24 million retreat may look like upon completion – and it’s safe to say, the Cotswolds is about to get even more bougie. The company has shared that it’s tried it’s best to repurpose existing buildings from the original transmission site (Picture: CABU) Building reportedly began in March this year. And while Langley itself is a rather unassuming little hamlet, it’s close to a number of popular Cotswolds tourist spots – making it an ideal location for the resort. The site in question is actually a former engineering complex, which, after months of planning and refurbishment, will be transformed into a ‘unique retreat featuring eco-conscious timber cabins, wellness facilities and carefully designed social spaces.’ According to the company, CABÜ’s signature aesthetic celebrates modern luxury alongside sustainable design principles. Emphasised in promotional material on the website, CABÜ has stated that ‘wherever possible’, existing buildings on the former radio transmission site have been carefully renovated and repurposed. The resort will house 50 self-catered cabins (Picture: CABU) You won’t find classic hotel rooms at CABÜ resorts. Rather, the company specialises in Scandi-style self-catered Timber eco cabins – with 50, to be exact, slated for the Cotswolds site. Ranging from one to three beds, these stylish cabins are a focal point across CABÜ’s other locations – CABÜ By The Sea and CABÜ By The Lakes. Fully furnished and equipped with a kitchen – including pots and pans, glasses and cutlery – each cabin also comes with a collection of books, treats and games. And, with any luxury resort, the amenities at CABÜ in the Cotswolds look incredibly inviting. On-site will be a country shop, restaurant, two bars, an events space and a a number of luxurious social spaces. To dial up the relaxation, guests can also enjoy the spectacular indoor swimming pool surrounded by large windows and luxurious loungers, spa facilities, hot tubs, and saunas. Soho Farmhouse, eat your heart out. When it’s finished, the project is predicted to cost £24 million (Picture: CABU) On her visit to CABÜ’s location in St Mary’s Bay, Kent, TikTok creator @Indiaamoon described having the ‘dreamiest’ experience. ‘This was so needed,’ she shared. ‘It’s such a beautiful little spot.’ Another travel influencer @ciaobella called the resort an ‘underhyped luxury cabin getaway.’ How much will it cost to stay? As with most luxury escapes, CABÜ comes with a hefty price tag. The resort has a two-night minimum stay, meaning even the swiftest getaway requires a decent spend. For example, a two-night stay at its Kent location in October will set you back £575. If you want to upgrade your cabin to also include a private hot tub, the price jumps up to £595. And for anyone wanting to splash some serious cash, £895 will secure you the resort’s most impressive accommodation: a two-bedroom beach house, kitted out with a covered terrace and its own hot tub. While official prices haven’t yet been disclosed for the Cotswolds location, one can presume they’ll mirror CABÜ’s other resorts.
