New York Times columnist Nikole Hannah-Jones sparked lots of conversation this week when she wrote about her daughter’s reaction to her decision a decade ago to send her to a subpar public school even though she and her husband had the resources to send her to a better one. Michael Reneau is the executive editor at The Dispatch and is based in Greeneville, Tennessee. Prior to joining the company in 2022, he was editor of WORLD Magazine and for several years was editor of a daily newspaper in East Tennessee.
