Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly scrapped plans to have a two-tiered carousel and a man-made pond at their $30 million wedding at Madison Square Garden in July. A source told the Daily Mail on Monday that the two over-the-top props were included in the initial plans for the nuptials, but were ultimately axed for different reasons. The $7 million carousel was removed because it was too expensive, the insider claimed. Bruce Glikas/WireImage The source said the carousel would’ve cost $3.5 million even if reduced to a one-story. Instead of the carousel, Swift, 36, and Kelce, 37, got a large tent for carnival games including corn-hole and mini-golf, per the Daily Mail. The couple also reportedly declined having a pond underneath the altar where they exchanged vows because it was deemed too dangerous and would “require too much engineering.” “The edges weren’t tall enough and it would be really easy to fall over,” the insider claimed. An eyewitness exclusively told Page Six last month that the wedding — which transformed The Garden into an ethereal garden — was “a spectacle,” complete with food stations, bars and carnival games. Guests were treated to three specialty cocktails: “The Gym Teacher,” “The English Teacher” and “The T&T,” each served with its own signature ice cube, our source said. The food menu, meanwhile, featured lobster, chicken and French fries, and more. The morning after the wedding, Page Six obtained exclusive photos of the extravagant decor, including custom monogrammed items and trees and large green furnishings that were part of a “big gazebo,” being wheeled out of MSG. Orange armchairs, cocktail tables, green chairs and a chest holding “games” were also spotted. The Kansas City Chiefs player gushed that his personal highlight of the wedding was “all the people that showed up, and the amount of love that was in the air.” Community Guidelines Welcome to the Page Six Community!
