The Odyssey box office Day 3: Nolan's film scripts biggest opening weekend in India

Director Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, starring Matt Damon, continued its run at the Indian box office over its opening weekend, crossing the Rs 70 crore mark in gross collections after three days in theatres.According to a report by Sacnilk, the film has also emerged as Nolan's biggest opener in India. On Sunday, or Day 3, The Odyssey earned an estimated Rs 21.90 crore net and grossed Rs 26.16 crore across 9,195 shows.The Odyssey's Sunday earnings were down 0.5 per cent from Saturday, when it collected Rs 22 crore net. After three days, its total India net collection stood at an estimated Rs 61.30 crore.Its total gross collection in India now stands at an estimated Rs 73.19 crore, taking Christopher Nolan's epic fantasy adventure past the Rs 70 crore mark within its opening weekend. Commencing its theatrical journey with a stellar Rs 17.40 crore net on Friday, The Odyssey registered strong gains on Saturday to collect an estimated Rs 22 crore net (Rs 26.27 crore gross) before matching those numbers on Sunday.The epic had set a new record on its very first day, emerging as Christopher Nolan's highest-opening title in the Indian market.
