The MCU’s Karen Page Star Reveals Condition For Appearing Outside Daredevil: Born Again

Published Sep 14, 2026, 7:22 PM EDT Deborah Ann Woll has a specific condition for reprising Karen Page outside of Daredevil: Born Again. When Daredevil premiered on Netflix in 2015, the first episode saw Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson meeting Karen and bailing her out of a legal predicament. Since then, she’s been one of the most important people in Matt’s life, and Woll reprised Karen in all eight episodes of Daredevil: Born Again season 2 after making two guest appearances in season 1. Now the actor has shared what it would take to pique her interest in playing Karen in other corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During Rose City Comic Con's Daredevil panel, moderated by ScreenRant's Ash Crossan, a fan asked Woll and Henson if they’re “eager or hopeful” to appear in a Spider-Man movie, or if they “like doing the street-level heroics” in the MCU. Henson said that he’s “available” if such an opportunity presents itself, adding “If they're paying, I'm doing it.” Woll gave a more “serious” answer, saying: It depends on the content and the context. I really love the street level superhero stuff. That's what excites me about the superhero stuff we do. And actually, even when our show gets a little magical and starts taking steps in that direction, I kind of am like, "I prefer it over here." Woll went on to say how she prefers Matt’s first Daredevil suit, which she described as the “bought at Goodwill outfit,” because “that feels grounded and real and cool.” She also said she likes that the only “buy-in” with the MCU’s Daredevil is that his “senses are a little bit heightened,” and that it’s her “preference” to see Matt battle street-level crime in New York City rather than the alien and multiversal threats thrown at the Avengers. So on the prospect of appearing in an upcoming Marvel movie, Woll thinks that if Karen can be written “in a legitimate way that felt fun to fit the movie, but also true to who she was in the space, then, hey, yeah, absolutely.” Along with her Daredevil and Daredevil: Born Again appearances, Woll played Karen in five episodes of The Punisher TV series, as well as the recent Disney+ special The Punisher: One More Kill. Those projects boast the same street-level tone, building off the dynamic Jon Brenthal's Frank Castle built with Karen in Daredevil season 2. For now, Woll is confirmed to be reprising Karen in Daredevil: Born Again season 3. No plot details for the next batch of episodes have been officially revealed yet, but other season 2 players who will return alongside Woll and Cox include Vincent D’Onofrio, Wilson Bethel, Margarita Levieva, Arty Froushan, Zabryna Guevara, and Krysten Ritter. Additionally, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, and Élodie Yung will reprise Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Elektra, respectively, from the Marvel Netflix era, with Colter having already cameoed in the Born Again season 2 finale opposite Ritter. Daredevil: Born Again season 3 will premiere in March 2027 on Disney+.
