And with the game being dumped just moments after it launched on the eShop, modders quickly got to work. Ocarina of Time now has its own page on the popular modding site GameBanana, with an accompanying Discord server for hobbyists to show off their work and collaborate. Already, there's a Breath of the Wild-inspired tunic available to download, and several Navi recolors, but more ambitious mods are in the works, with developers promising they'll be available "soon." Neurotic Ninjah is one such developer, teasing their upcoming 'Ocarina of Sense' project in Discord. The mod will implement a DualSense UI overhaul, allowing players to comfortably play the remake with a PS5 controller. Others are busy ripping models into Blender, altering the appearance of the Hyrule Shield and Link. Ocarina Of Time Modder Says There Are "Limitless Possibilities" "The game is still very new, so tooling is still in the process of being upgraded (from previous games of the same engine) and created (new formats)," the GameBanana mod page explains. "You may make mods for whichever version(s) of the game you want." As the mod page explains, it's early days, but considering Ocarina of Time is a Switch 2 exclusive, it's wild that modders are digging through the files and pulling character renders on day one. In fact, there's already a modified version of TKVSC available on GameBanana, a code extension originally designed for Tears of the Kingdom that allows users to browse and edit the game's files. It'll be fascinating to revisit GameBanana in a couple of weeks and see what the community has cooked up. If I had to guess, we'll see a classic-style Link tunic, restored content that addresses the remake's censorship, and the trademark CJ mod that christens every new game on PC. According to The5thTear, who released the first Ocarina of Time mod, a series of Navi recolors, "a metric ton of TotK basically just carries over into this game, so there are basically limitless possibilities."
