With a June 16, 2028 release date, the long-awaited Pixar sequel is set to be released in theaters a decade after Incredibles 2. Returning characters and stars include Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson), Helen Parr (Holly Hunter), Violet Parr (Sarah Vowell), Dash Parr (Huckleberry Milner), and Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson). Peter Sohn is directing this installment after the previous two were directed by Brad Bird, although he is still writing the film and aboard as a producer. At the D23 Disney Entertainment Showcase, where ScreenRant is in attendance, a sneak peek at concept art was shared, featuring Mr. Incredible wearing his suit and lifting a massive object. His heroics prevent several individuals from being crushed, while others gather around and photograph his heroics. The other images reveal the Parr family and Frozone all suited up, Edna, and Mr. Incredible sitting on a bench, giving a glimpse of his bandaged back. Check out the images below: During the panel, Pixar's Chief Creative Officer discussed how Incredibles 3 is "rounding out the trilogy" and that this time around, "it's the kids' turn" and they will be the main characters in this movie. In order to "prove they are ready," the kids have been sneaking out at night to fight crime, which is not going over well with their parents. Meanwhile, the family is struggling more than ever to contain the powerful Jack Jack and a new threat arises that has "more power than the family put together." Another important plot detail teased during the panel is the formation of the Superhero League, which is related to the public mania and marketing involving superheroes. The concept art of Mr. Incredible being photographed seems to provide a glimpse of why this organization is needed. The image of his back shows that these kinds of acts are taking a toll on him, though, which makes it all the more necessary for the next generation to step up. More to come...
