‘The Gronk & Jules Show’ Hosts Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman Sing About Their Love for Talkin’ Football in New Promo (EXCLUSIVE)

If Fox NFL analysts Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman ever want to segue into a new music career, singing might be their jam. To promote their new Fox Sports digital series “The Gronk & Jules Show” (produced by Shadow Lion), the hosts have released a music promo — but let’s just say the caliber of singing is pretty much what you’d expect. Fox Sports and creative studio The San Clemente Experiment came up with the song (“Talkin’ Football”) and produced the video, which was directed by Clay Weiner. And no, the guys didn’t take singing lessons to prep. “Me and Gronk have been keeping our singing talent a secret for so many years, so getting a real chance to showcase that and doing it about a topic we love so much was really just a lot of fun,” Edelman said in a statement. The music video debuts Thursday, Nov. 5, on Fox Sports digital and social platforms, in addition to streaming platforms Tubi and Fox One. The song was recorded a few weeks ago before Gronkowski and Edelman turned their attention to their NFL on-air duties. “We had a ton of fun on this one,” said Fox Sports marketing VP Blake Danforth. “Watching our director, Clay Weiner, work with Gronk and Jules as they got comfortable with the song and made it their own was a highlight. That performance gave us so much to build on, and Clay and the team at The San Clemente Experiment kept the guys’ personalities and humor at the heart of it.” Weiner is a commercial director; he’s most known for the Bud Light “Dude” commercial, Sonic with Kevin Durant, Common Sense’s “Cat Filter” with Will Ferrell, Jon Hamm for Minute Maid and more. On Mondays, Gronkowski and Edelman break down the weekend’s biggest games, reacting to on-field action versus what the box score says.
