The Game loses sexual assault appeal

LOS ANGELES — A California appellate court upheld the $7.1 million judgment against Jayceon Terrell Taylor, a rapper better known as The Game, and in favor of Priscilla Rainey, who first accused Taylor of sexual assaulting her in a 2015 lawsuit and again in a 2021 lawsuit alleging that $6.8 million of the royalties he owed her remained outstanding. Taylor claimed the default judgment should be vacated because Rainey “did not mail the court’s order for publication to his known address” and the summons allegedly contained various errors.
