‘The Gallerist’ Trailer: Natalie Portman & Jenna Ortega Turn A Corpse Into Art Basel Masterpiece In Sundance Dark Comedy

In a first look at The Gallerist, Natalie Portman and Jenna Ortega make a killing with a piece of art that has everyone talking. Following its Sundance premiere earlier this year, Roadside Attractions has released the first trailer for the star-studded Art Basel Miami dark comedy from co-writer and director Cathy Yan, which premieres Dec. 4 in theaters. The Gallerist, co-written by Yan and James Pedersen, follows an ambitious gallery owner (Portman), who in an impromptu act of survival, conspires to pass off an accidental corpse as the centerpiece of her debut show, spiraling into a sly game of deception, spectacle and ticking-clock chaos as influencers and police converge. Will she end up famous, a felon, or both? In addition to Portman and Ortega, the ensemble includes Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Sterling K. Brown, Zach Galifianakis, Daniel Brühl, Charli XCX and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Producers include Ash Sarohia, Sophie Mas, Natalie Portman, Jonathan King, Tom McCarthy, Rae Baron, Zola Elgart Glassman, with EPs Jenna Ortega, Roberto Malerba and James Pedersen.
