It's the second phase that tends to become sluggish, because we're stressed and we drink alcohol.'Your liver loves broccoli because it really supports that second phase of detoxification.'After Natalie complained that plain steamed greens can get boring, Peacock shared a handy recipe for adding cruciferous vegetables like broccoli to your diet. This method also keeps more of the nutrients in the food, she said, giving you more bang for your buck. She explained: 'What I like to do is get a big pan, add a teeny amount of water, then add your chopped broccoli or kale.'Put a lid on it, and as the water evaporates it starts steaming the vegetables and softening them. Because you've only used a little water, you're not losing anything, so the nutrients stay inside.'Then add your spices and fry. I love frying food. Use olive oil or, my new thing, ghee.'Elsewhere in the episode, Natalie opens up about the keto diet that left her unable to go to the toilet, her hungover petrol station sweet binges, the ginger she 'smuggles' home from tour, and why she refuses to hide her age.To watch the full episode, click the video above or search Don't Judge Me wherever you get your podcasts.
