The Walking Dead is as synonymous with zombies as Harry Potter is with magic, essentially, and may forever endure as one of the most seminal pieces of post-apocalyptic zombie storytelling across comics, TV shows, and video games. But while AMC’s The Walking Dead TV series is probably the most popular outing that the IP has had (even more so than the comic, debatably), some of the best Walking Dead stories are ones that fans experience directly in Telltale’s The Walking Dead. Telltale as a studio has gone through a number of hurdles, to say the least, and it’s unknown if we can ever expect a new Walking Dead game on the same level again. Still, there may be something in store for fans to look forward to in the near future, according to a major leak. As shared by X user DomTheBomb, Steam achievements have apparently leaked for a slew of unannounced and upcoming games, including Judas, Kena: Scars of Kosmora, Kingdom Hearts IV, a Shrek 2 remaster, and a Twin Peaks game. Surprisingly, an “unannounced Walking Dead Collection” is found in these games’ midst, assuming this leak is legitimate across the board. We won’t know for sure until these games release and their achievements are confirmed whether any or all of them are legitimate, of course, and taking leaks with a grain of salt is always best practice, in general. Notably, developer Nightdive Studios announced a remaster of Thief: The Dark Project on X following the game's inclusion in the leaks. Either way, a brand-new Walking Dead bundle collecting the four main seasons and the Michonne-led spin-off season of Telltale’s fantastic series would receive a warm welcome, especially if it was remastered or remade in any way. Telltale’s The Walking Dead games boast some of the most beloved stories that the whole IP has to offer, and being able to revisit them with such enhancements would be a treat. For the sake of avoiding possible confusion, this wouldn't be the first package of the Walking Dead games.The original Walking Dead Collection featured Season One, Season Two, A New Frontier, 400 Days, and Michonne, while the later release of The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series added the Final Season, which released after the original collection. In fact, if a new collection is indeed being released for The Walking Dead, it ought to be a remaster or remake, since we’ve now had two separate collection bundles.
