The Daily Show to go dark for weeks with no fill-in hosts or even reruns

THE DAILY Show has gone off the air – and will stay dark for several weeks. The Comedy Central mainstay announced the unexpected summer hiatus on the July 31 episode with host Jordan Klepper. Beloved host Jon Stewart is back to hosting Monday night episodes, while a rotating panel of anchors handle the other four days of the week. Trevor Noah took over for Jon beginning in 2015, before he ended his run seven years later. Jon, who originally hosted from 1999 to 2015, returned in 2024.
