The Chats Announce New Album Half Cut: Hear “Off It”

The Chats are back at it. The Australian punks were just out on tour with Social Distortion and Descendents, and now they're announcing Half Cut, the long-awaited followup to 2022's Get Fucked. The quick, catchy lead single "Off It" is here today."Half Cut is a fun rock and roll record, but it's maybe a little more open than stuff we've written in the past," vocalist Eamon Sandwith says. "I definitely hesitate to use the word 'mature,' but it's a bit of a progression, I'd say."The LP — which is surely not mature — was recorded at Los Angeles' Maple Sound Studio with Frenzal Rhomb's Jay Whalley. "Off It" comes with a music video directed by Matt Weston; watch below.TRACKLIST:01 "Off It"02 "Brown Bottle Flu"03 "Hanging Shit"04 "Half Arsed"05 "Out For You"06 "Drinking For Two"07 "Damage Control"08 "Falling Down the Stairs"09 "Expiration Date"10 "Turpentine"11 "Chronic Condition"12 "Dead Weight"13 "Prove You Wrong"14 "Should Know Better"TOUR DATES:11/13 – Brisbane, QLD @ Crowbar11/14 – Brisbane, QLD @ Crowbar11/15 – Frankston, VIC @ Singing Bird11/19 – Sydney, NSW @ Crowbar11/20 – Sydney, NSW @ Crowbar11/21 – Sydney, NSW @ Crowbar11/26 – Melbourne, VIC @ The Tote11/27 – Melbourne, VIC @ The Tote11/28 – Melbourne, VIC @ The Tote12/04 – Hobart, TAS @ Altar12/05 – Devonport, TAS @ Forth Pub12/06 – Perth, TAS @ Royal Oak12/09 – Adelaide, SA @ Jive12/10 – Adelaide, SA @ Lion Arts Factory12/11 – Scarborough, WA @ Indian Ocean Hotel12/12 – Perth, WA @ Rosemount Hotel12/13 – Perth, WA @ Rosemount HotelHalf Cut is out 3/5/27 on Virgin Music Group.
