Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft scored a victory for the Faithful (Picture: BBC/Studio Lambert/Paul Chappells) Last night, The Celebrity Traitors came to a dazzling conclusion. After dramatic four weeks of murder, mayhem, and mischief, Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft scored a victory for the Faithful. It was a difficult episode for the pair, but they correctly identified Maya Jama and King Kenny as Traitors, although Leigh-Anne Pinnock and James Blunt were sad collateral damage. Still, Romesh and Sebastian won, and now they’ll share the cash prize of £83,000. The pair won’t be pocketing the cash, though. On the Celebrity version of The Traitors, the winners donate their prize to a charity. So who are the lucky organisations about to receive a very large cheque? Well, here’s what we know… To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Who is Romesh Ranganathan donating his Celebrity Traitors winnings to? Romesh Ranganathan is donating his half of the prize winnings (£41,500) to the Refugee Council charity. The 48-year-old comedian became a patron for the Refugee Council in September this year. ‘I’m really pleased to be joining the Refugee Council as its Patron,’ Romesh said in a statement at the time. We’re delighted that Romesh chose Refugee Council, the nation’s refugee charity, as his nominated choice. ‘Our work supports refugees to rebuild their lives in Britain. Sebastian Croft, aka Bash, meanwhile, is donating his £41,500 to the humanitarian charity Choose Love. Formerly, Help Refugees, the charity works to support displaced communities around the world. They do this by working with grassroots and community-led organisations who understand the needs of displaced communities to ensure they have the funding they need to provide the right support. In an interview with the BBC, Bash explained why he chose Choose Love. ‘I used to volunteer with them when I was 15 and 16, when they were first starting out. I’m now an ambassador for them,’ he explained. ‘I have an organisation called Queer Is Always Here, which operates underneath Choose Love and raises money for them. And with them and Queer Is Always Here, we’ve raised just under £300,000 so far for queer refugees and displaced people.’ Bash noted he wants to help support people who are being persecuted because of their sexuality. (Picture: BBC/Studio Lambert/Paul Chappells) What is the backlash? Online (Well, X), a minority of outspoken people took umbrage with Romesh and Bash’s chosen charities. Julia Hartley-Brewer called the final the most BBC thing ever. ‘Of course, the two winners are donating their winnings – our licence fee money – to a charity for refugees and a charity for “queer” refugees,’ she wrote. However, Julia didn’t find much support online, with many people branding her a ‘snowflake’ and asking why she has a problem with charity. Several X users complained that the charities were ‘woke’ or ‘anti-British’ and threw tantrums about it. The entire £83,000 #CelebrityTraitors prize fund going towards supporting refugees and queer displaced people feels bloody wonderful in such wretched times marked by fearmongering and inhumane politics – even more so knowing there will be many right-wingers enraged by that. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/hx0bnlDGkV— Em (@EmilyJBashforth) October 30, 2026 However, the vast majority of people were delighted to see the money going to such good causes, arguing it showcased true British values of charity and compassion. ‘The entire £83,000 #CelebrityTraitors prize fund going towards supporting refugees and queer displaced people feels bloody wonderful in such wretched times marked by fearmongering and inhumane politics,’ wrote Metro journalist Emily Bashforth. ‘Many refugees suffer so much – and then suffer again when they reach these shores because of bigotry and blame,’ said Martin Cottingham. ‘It’s brilliant that in #CelebrityTraitors @SebastianCroft and @RomeshRangstayed faithful to true British values and picked British refugee charities for their winnings.’ Deals of the Day This Hoover vacuum is a game-changer for pet owners and muddy homes The wellbeing brand behind everyone's favourite candles has launched its biggest sale yet See London's Christmas lights from an open-top double-decker bus this winter My skin always suffers when the heating goes on but this serum changed that The skincare formula that finally took the guesswork out of my routine @Pinotnoirgirl probably put it best, however, when she wrote: ‘love wins over hate.’ TV Newsletter Sign up and tell us which TV shows you love to watch to get personalised updates every morning.
