In our latest look at the game, developer Rebel Wolves shows off how it will perform on all of the consoles it's launching on, aside from one notable exception. That's right, Xbox Series S wasn't invited to the party. While The Blood of Dawnwalker is still coming to the console - as any game launching on the Series X has to - Rebel Wolves hasn't shown us what it will play like in this demo. We do get a look at PS5 Pro, PS5, and Xbox Series X, though, and that's come with its own issues. The Blood Of Dawnwalker's Console Demo Has Fans Wondering If 40fps Will Be Enough PS5 Pro, PS5 and Xbox Series X players will all have access to quality and balanced mode. Quality: Dynamic 4K, targeting 30fps Balanced: Dynamic 4K, targeting 40fps. The ease with which you will reach 4K and the highest framerate will depend on the console you're playing on, with Rebel Wolves promising "enhanced visual quality" on PS5 Pro. However, much of the conversation surrounds the 40fps cap on all platforms. Many see this as unacceptable, expecting 60fps to be reachable on PS5 and Series X - and certainly on PS5 Pro. Some argue that there's not a great deal of difference between 40fps and 60fps, and the footage we can see here looks perfectly fine, but it's enough to get players worried about how the game will perform at launch. Hopefully, it's a stable 40fps at the very least. It will be interesting to see, then, how this all fares on Series S. We've known for some time that developers aren't big on having to accommodate this weaker console, but as long as all of the features are the same, Xbox allows for a pretty significant performance and visual dip between versions. But if the Series S version is not even being shown off yet, we can only wonder how big that dip will be.
