In a bid to get out of the door before GTA 6, many games shifted their release dates to either September of this year or February next year, giving us a month packed full of long-awaited games. ' The Blood of Dawnwalker is just one of them, but it looks like it's managed to get out of the door without drowning amongst the other releases. On Steam alone, The Blood of Dawnwalker has launched to 64,438 concurrent players - not bad at all for Rebel Wolves' debut game. The Blood Of Dawnwalker Is A Hit, Even If The Performance On PC Leaves A Little To Be Desired Right now, the player count is at 32,020, following its high yesterday evening. We can expect it to rise again, as positive word of mouth spreads on social media. The reviews on Steam aren't looking bad either, sitting at mostly positive as of the time of writing. What few negative reviews there are focus on the game's technical performance. Some are experiencing problems with higher framerates and complain about being capped at 30fps during cutscenes. Others say that they can't play with a DualSense controller on PC right now, despite the game also being out on PS5. Speaking of consoles, it will be interesting to hear how the game is faring there. There was some controversy before release, when a console demo showed the game not being able to get any higher than 30fps, even on PS5 Pro. However, the devs then revealed that a 60fps setting would be added in a day-one patch. The Blood of Dawnwalker is also boosted by positive reviews from critics. In our review, staff writer Kaitlyn Peterson gave Dawnwalker a 4/5, praising the game's structure and setting, but noting some issues with the combat. The Blood of Dawnwalker is the debut game from Rebel Wolves, a studio formed by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, one of the directors of The Witcher 3.
