After an incredible theatrical run, Brand New Day can now be rented and purchased digitally Spider-Man: Brand New Day is officially available on streaming Image: Sony After an outstanding box office run, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is finally available to watch at home. You can rent or buy the movie on Video on Demand (VOD) platforms like Prime Video, Google Play, Apple TV, and more. It costs $24.99 to rent and $29.99 to purchase on Prime Video. The movie was available exclusively in theaters for 70 days, which is fairly long by modern film industry standards. While Spider-Man: Brand New Day was expected to perform well given the hero’s popularity, the movie quickly swung past expectations with an explosive opening weekend that brought in $360 million at the domestic box office, breaking Avengers: Endgame’s record for the biggest debut ever. Brand New Day eventually broke even more of Endgame’s records, becoming the highest-grossing film in domestic box office history with $950 million. It is currently the third-highest-grossing movie worldwide, with $2.5 billion, behind only Avatar and Endgame. Granted, all of these figures aren't adjusted for inflation, but it's still an impressive feat. Beyond its digital debut, Disney recently revealed that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is headed for a physical release on Dec. 15, 2026. It will be available on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD, with a Steelbook edition. What’s next for Spider-Man and the MCU? After Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s box office success and positive critical reception, Kevin Feige confirmed a sequel is in the works, with Destin Daniel Cretton returning to direct. That said, the movie is likely years off, as Cretton is first focusing on his live-action adaptation of Naruto, which reportedly starts filming in 2027. As for the MCU, Avengers: Doomsday is the next big event. This Dr. Doom-centric film is out on Dec. 18, 2026, and it remains to be seen if it can match or eclipse Brand New Day’s theatrical success. The next Marvel movie after that will be Avengers: Secret Wars, a direct sequel to Doomsday, planned for Dec. 17, 2027. That said, some have begun to doubt Secret Wars will hit that original release date, since filming was reportedly delayed again to early 2027. After Secret Wars, the MCU will presumably begin Phase Seven. So far, we know an X-Men movie is coming on May 5, 2028; a Ghost Rider flick starring Ryan Gosling is planned for July 28, 2028; and a third Black Panther film is set for Dec. 15, 2028.
