He enjoys soulslikes, character-driven RPGs, and third-person shooters plucked straight out of the Xbox 360 era. He also likes to flex his non-video game nerdy knowledge sometimes, whether that's explaining who's who in the new Wolverine game or recommending a comic book series about a sentient sword. In 2026, two of the best Star Wars games were released within six weeks: Star Wars Zero Company and Star Wars: Galactic Racer. Both reviewed well, and Galactic Racer's 88 Metascore on Metacritic makes it a top-five Star Wars game of all time. If you want to see what all the hype is about, and you have an Amazon Prime membership, you're in luck: Star Wars: Galactic Racer is available to play now via Amazon's cloud gaming service, Luna. You can check out its single-player campaign as well as the Arcade and Scenarios modes. Arcade races are fast and focused challenges, while Scenario races feature different builds, rule sets, and characters than you might experience in the campaign. Only the single-player modes are mentioned as playable in the news release, meaning you'll have to purchase Galactic Racer if you want to race others online. Star Wars: Galactic Racer joins Star Wars Outlaws on Amazon Luna. Subscribers can still claim September's free games too, like Doom and High on Life. Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a rewarding challenge Image: Fuse Games/Secret Mode Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a racing roguelike (a "roadlike," if you will) where you race your way through the Galactic League, an underground racing circuit where you're just as likely to blow up as you are to finish first. Polygon's Oli Welsh called it "the best arcade racing game in a generation" in his review. "The game's learning curve is steep, and there's a lot to manage and think about in a race. But boy, when you get there, the rush is unmatched. This is a game of both blistering speed and tactical nuance, where smart use of your abilities is just as important as racing reflexes. It's a deep game system, and the further you get into a run, the better and more rewarding it gets," he wrote. Star Wars: Galactic Racer is out now on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
