Customer complaints about broadband have fallen to a record low, according to the latest figures from Ofcom which rank the best and worst providers. TalkTalk came in as the worst broadband provider, receiving ten complaints per 100,000 customers between January and March, according to the latest data from Ofcom. The regulator said most of the complaints it had received about TalkTalk related to faults, service and provisioning, complaints handling and problems with billing, pricing and charges. Vodafone and BT were the second and third worst firms for broadband complaints between January and March, receiving eight and seven complaints per 100,000 customers, respectively. EE and Virgin Media both received six complaints per 100,000 customers in the period. Shoddy: TalkTalk came in as the worst broadband provider for the period from January to March Plusnet was the best broadband provider, with the lowest number of complaints per 100,000 customers. It was followed closely by Sky, with five complaints per 100,000 customers. A TalkTalk spokesperson said: 'We’re in the middle of transforming our customer service to better identify and resolve the root causes of complaints, as well as improving how we talk to our customers when things go wrong.'While we’re naturally disappointed by these results, we continue to invest to deliver a better way to Wi-Fi for all our customers, and know that this is starting to benefit customers, which we expect to see reflected in future quarters.' Across all broadband providers assessed, the average number of complaints per 100,000 customers was six. Customer complaints about broadband services fell to the lowest level since Ofcom's records began, it said. In 2011 complaints about broadband providers stood at 40 per 100,000 customers. Cristina Luna-Esteban, Ofcom’s director of consumers and retail markets, said: 'It’s encouraging to see broadband complaints falling to their lowest levels since our records began. Companies must not be complacent and we expect them to continually strive to improve their services and deliver a great customer experience.'We’d encourage any customers who aren’t satisfied with their current provider to vote with their feet. 'In recent years, we’ve made it easier than ever for people to shop around and save, by introducing end-of-contract alerts, simpler contract summaries, and easier switching processes for broadband and mobile.'Pay monthly mobile contract complaintsSky Mobile was the mobile company that generated the most complaints between January to March. Customers mostly complained about experiences changing provider.EE, Giffgaff, Tesco Mobile, Three and Vodafone generated the fewest complaints about mobile services.Landline complaints Plusnet and TalkTalk were the most complained-about landline providers.
