Image via Matt Reeves Published Oct 5, 2026, 1:27 PM EDT A cinematic obsessive with the filmic palate of a starving raccoon, Rob London will watch pretty much anything once. With a mind like a steel trap, he's an endless fount of movie and TV trivia, borne from a misspent youth of watching monster movies on TV, perusing the sun-faded goods at the local video rental shop, and staining his fingers with ink from the Video Movie Guide. Areas of interest include science fiction, film noir, horror flicks, '70s disaster pictures, Bond movies, '90s action, giant robots, dinosaurs, super heroes, and the exuberantly schlocky output of Cannon Films. He also enjoys both Star Trek and Star Wars when they're good, and maybe even more when they're bad. As a Canadian, he also has a vested interest in Canadian movies and TV shows, especially the cheesier ones dubbed "Canuxploitation." An expert on Marvel Comics, he has also written for the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, and is a member of the Marvel Research Team. He can frequently be found pontificating on comic-book continuity or bemoaning the misfortunes of the Toronto Maple Leafs on his Twitter account. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available. The Batman Part II is one of the most anticipated blockbusters of the next few years: ever since Robert Pattinson's first outing as the Caped Crusader hit theaters in 2022, fans have been clamoring for a repeat performance. Unfortunately, the film has been beset with a number of delays, pushing its release date back by almost three years. Now, the movie has experienced another setback. In The Batman, Pattinson stars as a young Bruce Wayne who's only recently adopted the persona of the Batman to stalk the crime-ridden streets of Gotham City. He's drawn into a series of mysterious murders perpetrated by the Riddler (Paul Dano), a masked menace who alleges that a massive conspiracy has Gotham in its grip. That leads him to cross paths with the masked burglar Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz) and the grotesque gangster the Penguin (Colin Farrell), even as he builds a rapport with Gotham City police detective Jim Gordon (Jeffrey Wright). The city survives a massive catastrophe, and emerges bent but unbroken, as Batman vows to continue his quest to protect it. Now, as per Deadline, The Batman Part II has now been hit with another delay. Director Matt Reeves has stepped away from the production to attend to a personal matter. It has previously been beset by both script delays and the twin WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, which resulted in the film being delayed multiple times from its initial announced release date of October 3, 2025. The film is still slated to be released on February 18, 2028; it is too early to say if the release date will be pushed back. Stay tuned to Collider for future updates.
