This week, President Donald Trump took to social media to weigh in on growing concerns that the development of ever more advanced artificial intelligence could lead to human extinction. “AI taking over the World, destroying Humanity, and all other things bad, is a HOAX,” he said, comparing apocalyptic warnings about the technology to allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 election and his two impeachment trials.
