Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale is now live, and there are a slew of excellent gaming deals to check out as part of the limited-time offerings. These are exclusive to Prime members, with the deals available from October 6-7, so there's only a short window available to find some bargains.Whether you're on PS5, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Xbox, or PC (or all four!), there are plenty of discounts worth checking out across games, accessories, storage, and more. I'll leave some top highlights just below, but read on for a more in-depth analysis of the offers up for grabs over the next 48 hours.TL;DR - Best Prime Day Gaming Deals Today2026 has been an excellent year for video games so far. So good, in fact, that it can be a little hard/ expensive to keep up with them all! Thankfully there's some genuinely good deals available in the latest Prime Day sale, all of which I think are worth considering. For starters, critical darlings Star Wars: Zero Company and The Blood of Dawnwalker are both on sale right now for PS5 and Xbox consoles. Zero Company has dropped to just $47.99, $12 off its list price, and the first big discount since its launch day. It's also a first time discount for Dawnwalker, down to $59.49, over $10 off its $69.99 MSRP. Both games received 9/10 scores when reviewed on IGN, which makes these easy recommendations.Amazon Prime Free Trials & Memberships30-day free trial, $2 for 7 day trial, 6-month trial for young adults (18-24).Pragmata is another standout game of the year, also down to $39.99 for PS5, Xbox, and Switch 2. While yet another 2026 hit, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, also drops to $59 for PS5 and Xbox, $10 in savings, just like The Blood of Dawnwalker. Resident Evil: Requiem is also down to just $49.99 at Amazon for PS5, Xbox, and Switch 2, and it's my favorite game of 2026 so far!If you're looking for some proper, proper discounts (and I mean a lot more than $10 off), then let me call out a few other highlights. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PS5 for just $16.99 is a genuine bargain, and I'm fairly confident this will sell out before the sale finishes up on October 7. Over a hundred hours of content for just $17 is nuts, and this is my top deal of the sale so far! Remake Intergrade is also $19.99 for PS5, while both games have also dropped to their lowest prices ever for Switch 2 ($24.99, and $34.99, respectively).Other top deals include Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds for $19.99 on PS5 and Xbox, that's $50 off for a limited time, and a fantastic deal. We gave this a 9 in our IGN review last year, and I highly recommend the game myself, as it's an absolute blast. Well worth the 20 bucks. Video Game Console Deals - Prime DayNintendo Switch 2 Console DealsNintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle + 3-Month NSO MembershipSave $37.98 on everything vs. buying separately.Obviously, most retailers will be highlighting the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle in the sale, even if it isn't technically a sale item. You can save $37.97 if you buy this bundle, versus buying the console, game, and NSO membership separately. It's certainly not as good as the bundle deal we saw for the Switch 2 at launch, but considering the price of those bad boys has gone up this year (along with everything else, am I right?), it's still not a bad offering and worth calling out nonetheless.Xbox Console DealsXBOX Series X 1TB Digital Console BundleAll-Digital Console (Disc-Free Gaming) with XBOX Wireless Controller and Gears of War E-Day.Another interesting offer, albeit significantly more expensive than everything else I've mentioned, is the Gears of War E-Day Xbox Series X bundle that's up for grabs as part of Best Buy's Techtober sale (rivalling Amazon's Prime Day offerings, of course). The Xbox bundle is listed for $819.97, and includes a 1TB Xbox Series X digital console (MSRP $749.99), a digital copy of Gears of War E-Day (MSRP $69.99), and a slick transparent red Xbox Elite Series 2 controller (MSRP $149.99). Overall savings are $150, and while it's not a bad deal, it's still expensive and probably only going to appeal to a select few. At $820, this will be a tough ask for a lot of us, and while I'm cautious to give any kind of financial advice, Best Buy does offer the option to pay over 12 months at $68.34/mo as well, just so you are aware. Overall, the bundle is worth considering if you are okay with digital-only gaming (especially with Xbox allowing you to digitise your game discs now), and are looking for a way to play GTA 6 and the critically acclaimed Gears of War E-Day.PS5 Console DealsPlayStation 5 825GB ConsoleFor those after a PS5, just like Xbox I'd recommend checking out the deals at Best Buy right now. While there aren't any decent offers on standard PS5 consoles, you can still pick up a refurbished 825GB PS5 (yes, the fat version) for $549.99. That's $100 saving versus buying a new PS5, and well worth considering if you're desperate for a console before GTA 6 comes out next month. Speaking of, Best Buy is currently offering a $50 reward certificate to anyone who bundles a Grand Theft Auto 6 preorder with an eligible PlayStation 5 or Xbox console - including the refurbished model that's on sale right now. Not bad - otherwise, maybe wait and see what Black Friday offers pop up!I'd also recommend considering a certified refurbished PS5 directly from PlayStation through the PS Direct store. A refurbished PS5 is currently $549, while the refurbished PS5 Digital Edition is $499.That makes the choice between Best Buy and PlayStation a little more interesting. For the same price, PS Direct option gets you the newer PS5 design with 1TB of storage, although you'll be giving up Best Buy's $50 reward certificate deal.Save on Select Switch 2 PreordersThe Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of TimeThese offers may not be related to the ongoing Prime sale, but they're nonetheless video game deals that are well worth shouting about. Select Switch 2 games coming out soon - Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Metroid Ravenous, and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort - all have $10 knocked off their preorder prices right now.Nintendo Switch Sports Resort - Nintendo Switch 2Save on a $10 Nintendo eShop Gift CardSpeaking of Nintendo Switch gaming libraries, this eShop gift card deal is definitely worth checking out if you, or someone you know, is hoping to pick up some new digital games this fall.$10 Nintendo eShop Gift Card [Digital Code]Amazon's knocked 10% off this gift card's usual list price of $10, so you can scoop it up for $8.98 instead. It's a nice little offer to add to your cart, especially if you're holiday shopping for a Nintendo fan. The store page notes that you can buy up to 2 as well, so why not grab the second as a little treat for yourself?Should You Wait for Black Friday?Honestly? Probably, yeah. While Amazon's October Prime Day sale (Prime Big Deal Days) is a good opportunity to grab a few good deals, more often than not these offers will reappear in a month or less, as they were, or as even better deals. If you can hold out, I'll always recommend waiting a little bit longer in order to save that bit more. That being said, there is a rare chance that certain deals appear that are worth picking up ASAP. I, and the rest of my team, will often try to call these bargains out as and when we can, so you have the best opportunity to bag them. Otherwise, consider the rest of this article a helpful guide to what's on sale, what you can pick up if you so choose to, and the prices to look for when the Black Friday sales eventually roll around in November. The only other reason I'd ever suggest not waiting is if you value your time over your money. Now it seems like an obvious statement, but it's not always a luxury we all get to have. If you do desperately want to play that game like right now and it's driving you insane, or your TV just broke, or you lost your headphones, sales like this are a great opportunity to pay yourself in time, so you don't have to stress or fret about something. Whatever the case, do what is best for you. I'm just a silly little guy, writing about silly little deals, on a silly little website.Robert Anderson is a Senior Commerce Editor for IGN.
