Thai Restaurant Week 2026 has launched in Qatar, offering specially curated menus at 12 restaurants from 3 to 19 September.Qatar residents and visitors can sample specially curated menus at 12 Thai restaurants across the country as part of Thai Restaurant Week 2026, which runs until 19 September.The Royal Thai Embassy in Doha officially launched “Thai Restaurant Week 2026: A Taste of Thailand” on 3 September, bringing together restaurants across Qatar in a campaign celebrating Thai cuisine and cultural heritage.Participating restaurants are offering specially curated menus priced at QAR 39, QAR 59 and QAR 89, available for lunch, dinner or all-day dining depending on the venue.The campaign aims to showcase the diversity of Thai cuisine, from its distinctive flavours and culinary techniques to the traditions and cultural heritage behind individual dishes.The launch was held at Saffron at Banyan Tree Doha and attended by more than 100 guests, including representatives of Qatari government agencies, members of the diplomatic corps, private-sector executives, media representatives and social media influencers.Guests were treated to Thai cultural performances, live cooking and fruit-carving demonstrations, as well as a tasting of dishes from participating restaurants.Thailand’s Ambassador-Designate to Qatar Pensom Lertsithichai said food and culture play an important role in strengthening ties between the two countries.“Thailand and Qatar enjoy warm, longstanding bilateral relations built on mutual respect, shared trust, and vibrant people-to-people ties,” she said.“While our diplomatic and economic partnerships continue to grow across many sectors, it is often through our cultural heritage and culinary traditions that nations foster the deepest understanding and mutual appreciation.”Where to take partThe 12 participating restaurants are Bubblelicious Café; CHX N RISE; Isaan at Grand Hyatt Doha Hotel & Villas; Khaosan Thai Restaurant; Pochana Thai Restaurant; Sabai Thai Restaurant; Saffron at Banyan Tree Doha Hotel; Sritubtim; Thai Aroi; Thai Kitchen at Centara West Bay Hotel & Residences; Thai Snack; and The Siam.The embassy said the initiative forms part of its efforts to promote Thai cuisine and culture in Qatar while strengthening cultural ties between the two countries.Diners can also win prizesMembers of the public can share their Thai Restaurant Week experiences on Facebook and Instagram using #ThaiWeekQatar2026 for the chance to take part in a raffle draw.Prizes include dining vouchers from participating restaurants and pool access at Banyan Tree Doha Hotel.Other prizes include stays at hotels in Thailand, including Siam Kempinski Bangkok, JW Marriott Bangkok, Banyan Tree Bangkok, The Landmark Bangkok, Park Hyatt Bangkok and Sindhorn Midtown Bangkok.Experiences at Andamanda Phuket, Siam Niramit Phuket and Dream World are also among the prizes on offer.Thai Restaurant Week 2026 runs from September 3 to 19 across participating restaurants in Qatar.
