Texans place WR DJ Turner on IR

Clowney practiced with the team Tuesday.In a corresponding move, the Texans placed wide receiver DJ Turner on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury. His season will end on injured reserve, or the Texans will reach an injury settlement with him and release him.Turner, 29, signed with the Texans on July 29 and practiced Monday.Turner spent the past four seasons with the Raiders. He appeared in 32 games for Las Vegas and finished his run with the team with 16 catches for 158 yards and a touchdown. He also saw action as a returner and on other special teams units. He has played 416 special teams snaps and 391 on offense in his career.In 2025, he played only four special teams snaps and none on defense in one game.
