Tesco tests major change to coffee machines in Express stores – and shoppers will be delighted

TESCO is currently trialling a major change to its coffee machines in Express stores. Shoppers looking to pick up a hot drink on-the-go are in luck as the new drinks are part of a fan favourite deal. Tesco is launching a trial of Finest To-Go drinks machines in its Express stores, meaning customers can pick up a drink while they shop Credit: Alamy Currently available in two Express stores, Tesco customers are now able to try the new Finest To-Go machines. Shoppers can choose from all the classic warming beverages, including an Americano, Flat White, Latte, Cappuccino, Espresso, Mocha, Hot Chocolate and Breakfast Tea. Sign up for the Money newsletter Thank you! The drinks machines use the same coffee beans that the retailer uses in both its Tesco Cafes and Coffee Shops. Coffee is made with a medium-roast blend, roasted in the UK and is Rainforest Alliance certified. Syrups are also set to be added to the machine in due course, allowing customers to add flavours to their coffees. Fans of the meal deal will be pleased to know that some of the new drinks will also form part of the lunchtime staple. Shoppers will be able to enjoy a small hot drink as part of the discounted trio of items. The new hot drinks pilot follows the supermarket’s longstanding offering of Costa Express machines located in over 2,800 stores.
