Tesco shoppers have just DAYS to grab free fruit for kids across hundreds of UK stores this summer

TESCO shoppers only have a few days to take advantage of a summer promotion that lets their children enjoy free fruit. The scheme has been running since July and was launched to help encourage children to eat more healthy snacks. The supermarket took to social media to announce the promotion back in July. Writing on Instagram, Tesco said: “Free Fruit for Kids is back this summer to help children get one of their five a day. “From 20 July to 30 August, children can pick up a free apple at over 800 large Tesco stores and selected Express stores. “Click and Collect customers will also be given free apples for their children at selected stores. Subject to availability.” The scheme was first launched in 2016 as it hoped to provide an alternative to sugary treats and snacks. The supermarket also has lofty goals for the promotion, aiming to give one million students free fruit and vegetables by July 2029.
