Tesco confirms massive change at all its UK stores that means shoppers can get a trolley of groceries in just 20 minutes

TESCO is rolling out a huge change at all of its UK stores after a successful trial. The change will make shopping easier for all of its customers meaning shoppers can get their groceries in just 20 minutes. More shoppers will now be able to order their Tesco shopping on Uber Eats Credit: Getty The supermarket’s partnership with Uber Eats will now extend to all Tesco stores across the UK after a successful trial at 73 stores. Customers will also have access to hundreds of Clubcard Prices and earn Clubcard points when shopping. Sign up for the Money newsletter Thank you! The launch builds on the supermarket’s Whoosh, its own fast delivery service, which offers grocery delivery from as little as 20 minutes from around 1,800 Tesco stores. Whoosh has seen much success since launching in 2021, with the supermarket saying sales increased by 51 per cent last year. The service now allows customers to book same-day delivery windows, shop without a minimum spend and place larger orders. Tesco digital director Rob Graham said: “We want to make shopping with Tesco as convenient as possible for customers, and our launch on Uber Eats gives even more people access to the outstanding quality, value and range they expect from us.” Uber Eats UK general manager for grocery & retail Katie Hunter agreed and added: “We’re thrilled to launch Tesco on a delivery platform for the first time with Uber Eats, now bringing their much-loved product ranges to even more customers. “With Clubcard being integrated in the app from day one, our customers are already enjoying the ease and convenience of rapid delivery while still claiming their favourite Tesco rewards.” Most read in Money In addition to its partnership with Uber Eats, Tesco plans to partner with Deliveroo in September, providing even more options for customers.
