Terrifying moment mystery animal launches vicious attack on two people at parking lot – but no one knows what it is

The video shows a man exiting a U-Haul van as the creature rushes towards him. It lunges at his feet with the man jumping back in horror. After the man kicks the animal it scurries under the van before launching a second wave of attacks. The mysterious animal wrestles around the man’s legs, eventually being kicked across the car park. A woman approaching the van narrowly dodges the flying creature, before it scuttles away. Lebanon Police Department said the animal has been reported for three attacks on people in Centerra Park, Lebanon, New Hampshire. They believe the same animal is behind all three attacks, but have been unable to find or identify the perpetrator. Lebanon Police Chief Phillip Roberts said police were particularly concerned by the animal’s erratic and aggressive nature. They are working with the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department to find the animal and rule out any sickness. Roberts added: “That’s usually indicative of something being wrong with the animal, most likely rabies.” A local said to WMUR: “Like there’s not enough to look out for these days, now you gotta look out for fisher cats in the parking lot.” Those in the Centerra Park area are being warned to avoid any aggressive or strange wild animals. Police said: “Do not approach, attempt to capture, feed, or otherwise interact with the animal.” They also cautioned the public about possible rabies exposure, advising anyone bitten or scratched by a wild animal to thoroughly wash the area with soap and water, and seek immediate medical attention. Lebanon isn’t the only place being plagued by a potential rabies scare. On August 15, visitors to a petting zoo in Mocksville, North Carolina were exposed to rabies after three baby goats tested positive, sparking a state-wide effort to track down everyone who interacted with them. The Mount Loretto Unique Area, a 241-acre nature preserve in Staten Island, issued a safety warning as a fox that may be infected with rabies had bitten a visitor. In the US, there are around 4,000 to 5,000 reported cases of animal rabies, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Comment now
