Imagine a world where fear is sold every day more aggressively than optimism. Welcome to the new world of AI, where intelligence is abundant and fear has become the new norm. Every morning, people ask themselves whether their intelligence is still worth as much as it was before AI. Developers wonder whether they will still have jobs. Writers wonder whether anyone will need them. Students wonder whether learning is still worth the effort. Many people feel lost. They don't know what to do, where to go, or what skills will still matter tomorrow. This is the terra nova we are entering. The AI Race Has No Finish Line The first question that usually comes to mind is simple: USA vs. China. Who wins the AI race? But perhaps this is the wrong question. As a civilization, we sometimes look like people lost in a labyrinth, constantly searching for an exit. The AI race may be similar. It is unlikely to have one permanent winner. The United States has created an extraordinary environment for innovation. Compared with many parts of Europe and the rest of the world, there are fewer barriers to building, experimenting, and scaling. America remains remarkably powerful when it comes to freedom of learning, building, and innovating. But the United States is no longer alone. China is often underestimated. Every time Chinese researchers and engineers produce something unexpected, the rest of the world is reminded that technological leadership is not exclusive to one country. DeepSeek was a Sputnik-like moment for the AI industry. Kimi and other Chinese initiatives have shown that more surprises can come from China. And there will be more. Just because a model comes from China does not automatically mean it is unsafe, inferior, or cheap. Technology should be evaluated based on evidence, not geography. Competition is good. In fact, competition is one of the reasons technology progresses so quickly. The rivalry reminds me of Real Madrid and Barcelona. If one team disappears, there is no rivalry. Without rivalry, there is no game. And without competition, the beautiful game loses part of what makes it beautiful. The Chinese dragon wants to dominate the world of technology with AI. The American eagle continues to fly higher, trying to create a technological gap between itself and the rest of the world. But perhaps the real question is not who wins. Perhaps the real question is: What does humanity win? Can We Build AI for Humanity? "AI for humanity" sounds inspiring, but humanity cannot remain just a slogan. We need leaders who advance AI with empathy, responsibility, and vision for a better world. A world with blue skies, healthier cities, stronger communities, better education, and joyful families. If AI is deployed primarily to control people, manipulate them through fear, or convince millions that they are about to become useless, society will eventually push back. AI is not magic. It comes from our collective knowledge, our research, our creativity, our data, and decades of human effort. We are not merely consumers of AI. We are also part of the system that feeds its evolution. If humanity stops learning, AI does not suddenly become wise. It simply becomes better at processing what humanity has already produced. This is why I believe we need to ask harder questions. Who benefits from the fear surrounding AI? Who controls the technology? Who controls the data? Who controls the infrastructure? Who controls AI, and for what purpose? Imagine a Generation That Stops Learning This is where AI anxiety becomes more than a technology problem. Imagine the future of children who refuse to learn because of AI predictions. "In six months, developers will be replaced." "In six months, there will be no need for writers." "In six months, AGI will take over the world." Imagine hearing these messages repeatedly while growing up. What happens? Some people will stop learning. Some will decide that there is no point developing expertise because AI will eventually do everything. That may be one of the most dangerous consequences of irresponsible AI predictions. Technology companies and influential voices have enormous power over public perception. Predictions can influence careers, investments, education, and the decisions young people make about their futures. If we lived in a society where intellectual honesty mattered more than attention, people making extraordinary predictions without evidence would have to take responsibility for the consequences. What is the value of ethics if we only use the word when it is convenient? Is ethics just another slogan? The Brain Does Not Work With Tokens I love AI. It helps me with many tasks in my daily routine. It gives me speed, context, ideas, and access to information that would previously have taken much longer to obtain. But AI has also made something increasingly obvious to me: AI benefits lifelong learners disproportionately. Having access to an intelligent system does not automatically make someone intelligent. If you are not willing to consistently learn, challenge your mind, read, experiment, and solve difficult problems, access to powerful AI will not magically give you expertise. A prompt is not expertise. A generated answer is not experience. And the human brain does not work with tokens. AI can give you information. It cannot give you the years of experience required to understand when that information is wrong. AI can give you code. It cannot automatically give you the engineering judgment required to know whether that code belongs in production. AI can summarize a book. It cannot give you the intellectual transformation that comes from reading the book, questioning it, disagreeing with it, and connecting its ideas to your own experience. This is how I see AI. Information. AI provides context and access to knowledge, but it does not replace real experience or expertise. Simply prompting a model does not make someone skilled in a domain. Speed. Large language models are exceptionally good at summarizing information and producing answers quickly. But speed is not the same as understanding. Real understanding requires going deeper: studying a subject properly, reading extensively, testing ideas, making mistakes, and learning from what you discover. Experience and expertise. Learning is not a prompting exercise. It requires depth, curiosity, consistency, and discipline. Real mastery comes from sustained effort, not shortcuts. I have improved over the years by committing myself to continuous learning, challenging my assumptions, thinking critically, and training my mind every day. You ultimately become what your habits shape you into. The future of AI will therefore not belong exclusively to those with access to the most powerful models. It will belong to those who continue to learn. What Are We Really Solving With AI? Generative AI has already changed the way we communicate. The internet is increasingly filled with synthetic content, misinformation, AI-generated images, fabricated stories, and convincing falsehoods. Sometimes, it is becoming difficult to distinguish what is true from what is false. AI can generate code, music, articles, images, and videos in seconds. But abundance creates another problem. When everyone can generate information, the ability to evaluate information becomes more important. This is another part of the terra nova. We have abundant tools. We have cognitive offloading. We have a fear of missing out. And we have a growing dependence on systems that can produce answers faster than we can verify them. The danger is not necessarily that AI exists. The danger is that humans may stop thinking. If we continue minimizing these risks, the damage can happen silently. A society with weaker critical thinking becomes more vulnerable to manipulation, misinformation, polarization, and conflict. A child may encounter false information, believe it, and act upon it. An adult may make an important decision based on information they never verified. The danger is not that AI thinks too much. The danger is that humans may think too little. My Vision for the AI Future I see a world where human intelligence, experience, and expertise become more valuable not less. The world we live in today is an AI labyrinth. Those who stop paying attention may eventually become victims of the technology they believed would liberate them. Businesses will need critical thinkers. They will need problem solvers. They will need people who can connect technology to strategy, people, and real-world problems. Perhaps a new role will emerge: The Tech Thinker. In this AI labyrinth, millions of people increasingly have access to similar tools and capabilities. The difference will not always be the tool. It will be the person using it. The competitive advantage will be judgment. The ability to ask better questions. The ability to recognize bad answers. The ability to connect seemingly unrelated ideas. The ability to execute. And the ability to build something meaningful at scale. AI may democratize access to intelligence. But it does not democratize wisdom. Why Can't We Vibe-Code Wisdom and Kindness? We live in a world where everything eventually disappears. That is an eternal law we cannot escape. Where will AI be in 200 years? Where will Google be? Where will today's greatest technology companies be? Where will we be? Eventually, we will all be dust. And perhaps that is precisely why wisdom, kindness, and love matter so much. They are bigger than a model. Bigger than a company. Bigger than a technology trend. Technology changes. Companies disappear. Models become obsolete. But the human values we leave behind can continue influencing generations. AI Vanity Is Not Strategy While we spend hours generating cat pictures, producing ten-second videos, and creating endless synthetic content, children around the world are still dying from cancer, malaria, and leukemia. There is nothing inherently wrong with creating a funny image or experimenting with a video. The problem begins when AI becomes an endless entertainment machine while real-world problems remain unsolved. If AI does not help solve real problems, improve quality of life, expand access to education, accelerate scientific discovery, and increase human well-being, then what exactly are we building? We should not confuse AI activity with AI progress. Generating more content is not necessarily progress. Having more models is not necessarily progress. Producing more tokens is not necessarily progress. Progress should ultimately be measured by what improves human lives. Conclusion I am not against AI. I am for AI. But I am for an AI future with more quality, more responsibility, more critical thinking, and more empathy. We will all eventually disappear, regardless of our race, religion, political party, nationality, or ideology. The machines will remain for a while. Companies will change. Models will be replaced. Technologies that we consider revolutionary today will eventually become historical footnotes. So perhaps the question we should ask ourselves is not: How powerful can AI become? Perhaps we should ask: What kind of civilization are we building with it? And when our generation is gone, what will we have left behind? Beyond the models. Beyond the tokens. Beyond the benchmarks. Beyond the AI vanity. What are we going to leave in this world?
