Sci-Fi Fans Shouldn't Miss This New 2027 Game Artificial Detective is the debut title from indie studio Vivix, whose team includes veterans of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Control, Dead Space, and even Netflix’s Love, Death & Robots. Set in the Art Deco-inspired metropolis of Conglomerate North, the action-adventure follows robot detective AD 2846, a human girl named Mowgli, and robodog D.A.W.G. through a world influenced by "neo-noir, retro-futuristic cinema, and anime," with Blade Runner and Cowboy Bebop specifically cited as inspirations. Gameplay promises detective-based sleuthing, with investigation, survival, exploration, hacking, stealth, physics-driven combat, and companion abilities, with Vivix promising "multiple ways to solve a situation." According to devs, progression revolves around upgrades and developing relationships with companions rather than a traditional XP grind, and the game has been in development for two years. Artificial Detective Looks Very Promising Set to arrive in 2027, Artificial Detective includes a mystery tied to AD 2846’s fragmented memories, with players uncovering clues that can trigger flashbacks and let them revisit locations from "decades earlier" to reveal additional layers of the story. Conglomerate North will also feature varied areas including a futuristic police station, underground corporate laboratory, and even a RoboZoo. You'll eventually get to enter a flying streetcar that functions as a mobile hub for upgrades, mission briefings, and piecing together clues. Meanwhile, a powerful machine called Bishop, composed of morphing cells known as Monks, is one of the game’s main antagonists. While there's still much that isn't known about Artificial Detective and it's still in development, it's an extremely promising title that fans will definitely want to keep tabs on ahead of its release next year.
