(Photo: X/Fox News)A joyride in a stolen luxury SUV turned deadly in New Jersey on Saturday morning when four teenagers allegedly fled police at high speed and drove the vehicle on the wrong side of the road and crashed into another car. The head-on collision killed a 54-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman who were travelling in the car.According to the New York Post, the teens are accused of stealing a 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon worth about $220,000 and leading police on a chase that began in the early hours. "Her daughters and their families are now doing their best to honor their mother (grandmother) while carrying the emotional and practical burdens that come with such a devastating loss," she added.POLICE TRACKED STOLEN G-WAGONPolice first spotted the Mercedes in Longport at about 3:40 AM (local time) and attempted to pull it over, but the vehicle sped away across the JFK Memorial Bridge. Authorities later located the SUV in Hamilton Township at about 7:45 AM, along with a Land Rover. Both vehicles allegedly fled the area. Officers lost sight of the Mercedes shortly before the fatal collision. They said the teens were travelling on the wrong side of the road when they struck the car.The four suspects allegedly escaped the wreck largely uninjured and tried to flee on foot, but officers quickly arrested them.Nayshaun Brown, 18, and three other teenagers, whose names were withheld because they are minors, were charged with joyriding, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and eluding police.
