Teenage boy, 17, found ‘murdered’ in the street after reports of burglary as four arrested

NewsUK News A MURDER investigation has been launched into the death of a 17-year-old, following reports of a suspected burglary. Cops were called to the scene in Linslade, Bedfordshire, at 10.25pm on Thursday, after receiving reports of suspicious activity. Emergency services found the teen unresponsive and he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards. A man was arrested at the scene and has been remanded in custody on suspicion of murder. Detective Inspector Caeva Taylor said: “This is an incredibly tragic incident in which a 17-year-old boy has lost his life and our thoughts are with his loved ones at this unimaginably difficult time. “We currently have one person in custody on suspicion of murder, and three other men are also assisting us with our enquiries” She said that the team were working hard to establish the cause of the teen’s death. Cops siad they initially received reports of a possible break-in but no evidence has been found to suggest the victim was carrying out – or attempting to carry out – a burglary. “We have been carrying out a number of enquiries today including reviewing CCTV and speaking to people in the area, and we’re urging the public to help us by letting us know any information they may have.” Most read in The Sun Police are urging anyone with any doorbell or CCTV footage that could assist the investigation to get in touch immediately.
