The female foursome won with a time of 42:05, the fastest time in Europe this year. Switzerland and Poland completed the podium respectively with the much-fancied Italians in fourth. But the Swiss were over a full second behind Team GB, putting them on the receiving end of one of the biggest winning margins in European history.
