Switzerland’s middle-distance star Audrey Werro, the fastest woman this year, will be favourite for victory on the final stop on the Diamond League circuit. Hodgkinson, 24, will try to be fit for the new three-day event in Budapest where there is £110,000 on the table for all event winners. Georgia Hunter Bell, winner of three titles in 2026, is expected to win the women’s 1500 metres race on Saturday night in Belgium’s capital. And sprinter Amy Hunt will be involved in the women’s 100 metres, competing alongside former world champion Sha’Carri Richardson, who hails from Texas. Just last week the middle-distance supremo had to pull out of the ‘race for the ages’ in Zurich due to her hamstring.
