Captain Jacob Sparks of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said it was “too early” to say whether the incident was a murder-suicide. He continued: “I can tell you that that’s one theory that we have and we’re still looking to see if we can verify that. “It would be premature for me to say what caused their deaths.” Sparks also described the grim scene as “complicated”. Please continue to pray, friends. please continue to pray as we try and piece everything together. Our hearts are utterly shattered. Tragic doesn’t even touch it.” Her grief-stricken parents, Steve and Becky Lawwill, shared a picture of them with the family beaming arm-in-arm on a beach. They wrote: “So grateful for the joy they brought into our life. We are just so shattered.” Amanda was a well-liked substitute teacher for Grand Haven Area Public Schools. She received a glowing review from the district in January, who boasted that she “goes above and beyond” for students at Peach Plains Elementary School on Facebook. Mandy had been with her husband for around 16 years, according to Kristopher’s social media. In 2019, he captioned a photo of the pair: “Going on 10 years with this pretty lady.
