Taylor Swift is ready to release her first post-wedding music video. The superstar announced Thursday that the video for her new single, “Patient Zero,” will premiere during the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards. Swift also released some teaser footage from the video on Instagram (below). The song is one of four new tracks being added to The Life of a Showgirl, which is getting an expanded edition titled The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, on Friday. The official music video will have its world premiere at the VMAs on Sunday, Sept. 27. The video is directed by Swift and stars Colin Farrell and Dakota Johnson. The video was shot by Oscar-winning cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki (The Revenant). The VMAs are hosted by Snoop Dogg. The show will air on CBS starting at 7:30 p.m. ET, simulcast on MTV and stream on Paramount+ Premium. Earlier this week, CBS and MTV announced that Swift will receive the inaugural MTV VMA Artist Director Honors. The pop star is nominated for 11 awards this year.
