It was announced in January that Mayor of Kingstown season 5 would serve as the end of the road for the Jeremy Renner-led crime drama, which has been a defining Paramount+ Original. The analysis noted at the time that, although Kingstown was a solid hit, it was nonetheless an expensive streaming series that did not achieve the consistently record-breaking viewership of Sheridan's Yellowstone universe or the recent breakout buzz of Landman and The Madison. Still, because it has developed a loyal audience and increased acclaim with critics, season 5 will allow for a proper farewell to the company town run by Renner's Mike McLusky. He'll do so with the help of several new additions to the Mayor of Kingstown cast. One of those new additions, Yani Gellman, confirmed that Mayor of Kingstown season 5 will premiere in early 2027. The actor revealed the narrow release window in an Instagram post, along with news of his casting. In the post, which is included below, Gellman thanks co-creators Hugh Dillion and Taylor Sheridan. He also encourages his social media followers to check out the first four seasons on Instagram. More to come...
