ANDREW and Tristan Tate have moaned about being starved of snacks in a pathetic hand-scrawled hail note as they languish at a hellhole jail. The disgraced misogyny influencers claim they have received just 14 snack items between them in 32 days inside Miami Federal Detention Centre. What is this, trick or treat? I’ve lost 13 pounds and I’m hungry.” The whingeing note, dated August 19, was shared by the brothers’ lawyer Joe McBride on X. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! McBride claimed: “Tristan is down 13 lbs, and Andrew 8. The Gov claims they have normal commissary access. The Gov is lying.” He added: “They’ve been given commissary access one time in 32 days. Imagine a single snickers bar lasting 3 days between 2 men…” The complaint comes as the pair remain locked up while battling extradition to Britain over a string of serious sex crime allegations. The brothers were due in US court Thursday seeking release on bail as they fight being sent back to the UK. Their lawyers have painted a grim picture of life inside the Miami lock-up, with Andrew, 39, claiming he has been forced to drink filthy water and endure terrifying screams from fellow inmates. The self-described misogynist called his Special Housing Unit “punitive housing for people who murder their cellmates”. Most read in The Sun Andrew claimed his only water source is a shower and a “brown and filthy faucet”, which he says has left him suffering “persistent stomach problems”. He also claimed he was woken in the dead of night by inmates yelling death threats and heard a “demonic roar” from a neighbouring cell. He described the jail as “the worst possible conditions the US gov provides to terrorists and psychopaths” and claimed the inmate next door was “a cannibal who screams throughout the night”. In another furious message, Andrew complained: “I am an innocent until proven guilty extradition detainee. I’m wanted by a foreign state. I am an American citizen. WHY AM I HERE?” His lawyers claim the brothers were not allowed out of their cells at all for 11 of their first 15 days inside. The jail has previously faced allegations of shocking conditions, including overflowing toilets, crumbling infrastructure and extreme use of force. A report last year claimed inmates were forced to kneel and eat “like dogs”, with their hands shackled and food placed on chairs in front of them. The facility has also been plagued by cooling problems, with detainees reportedly left sweltering as temperatures in downtown Miami climb above 30C. The Tates’ extraordinary jail complaints come amid an even more humiliating courtroom revelation about their carefully crafted image of mega-wealth. In a 28-page legal filing supporting their release, their lawyers admitted the brothers’ ostentatious lifestyle was largely a carefully manufactured show designed to fool their millions of social media followers. The pair regularly flaunted Bugattis, Aston Martins and a luxury superyacht online as they built their brash “Top G” personas. The filing states: “The more hyperbolic and outlandish the post, the more likely it will generate views and likes, which in turn generates income.” It adds: “In short, they are playing a role.” The documents claim Tristan’s supposed collection included a £1.5million Aston Martin and Bugattis worth £3.6million and £5.1million – but that he never owned them. A £36million superyacht the brothers filmed themselves aboard was also allegedly not theirs. Their lawyers reportedly argued that the Tates deliberately exaggerated their wealth because it was in their interests to appear fabulously rich online. The extraordinary claims come as US authorities argue the brothers could flee if released on bond. Prosecutors have even suggested the superyacht could be used to carry them into international waters and help them disappear. The fears were fuelled after several passports under different aliases were seized by police searching their homes. One passport allegedly carried the name “Vladimir Scorpius” – the eponymous villain of the James Bond spy novel Scorpius. Tristan’s lawyers claim the passport was not real and was simply cardboard made as part of a Halloween costume. The brothers’ lawyers have also argued that their boasts of immense wealth online were nothing more than bragging. Andrew Tate regularly posted pictures online of his ‘car collection’ Andrew surrounded by cash and luxury goods Andrew has previously claimed to generate nine figures from his X posts, while other posts have suggested the brothers have vast amounts of crypto, Bitcoin and cash. “All of these posts are hyperbole,” their filing says. Andrew is facing dozens of charges in the UK, including multiple counts of rape, human trafficking and assault. Last month, he was hit with 19 fresh charges relating to “indecent images of a child and extreme pornography”, according to reports. Tristan faces one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape and three counts of sex trafficking. The brothers also face a separate criminal investigation in Romania over allegations including human trafficking, rape, forming an organised criminal group and money laundering. They were arrested in Miami on July 18 and remain in federal custody as they fight extradition. The pair deny all allegations against them and say they have done no wrongdoing. A prison spokesperson said inmates generally have access to commissary services, recreation, phone calls, social visits and legal counsel.
