These days, Tame Impala are doing pop-star shit. When Kevin Parker and friends first released "Dracula" last year, the song initially seemed like a cute Halloween novelty, but it turned out to be an actual crossover hit, the band's first to crack the Hot 100. The song became much, much bigger when Jennie, a member of the hugely popular K-pop girl group Blackpink, appeared on a remix. The "Dracula" remix is now a global summer smash. On the Hot 100, it recently cracked the top five, becoming the biggest-ever hit for either artist. Last night, Tame Impala and Jennie performed the "Dracula" remix together for the first time ever. Right now, Tame Impala are on a North American arena tour. On Wednesday night, they played the second of two shows at Boston's TD Garden. Jennie surprised the crowd when she jumped up onstage during "Dracula." She and Kevin Parker still seem like they occupy completely different worlds, but they're making that work.Jennie wasn't the only big star to join Tame Impala in Boston. Djo, otherwise known as Stranger Things/Pavements actor Joe Keery, is opening the current run of Tame Impala shows, and he appeared in the band's video for their Deadbeat single "Loser" last year. On Tuesday night, Djo joined Tame Impala on that song. Check out some fan videos below.
