Cat, 49, who fronts ITV’s This Morning with Ben Shephard, has been single since announcing her split from Irish TV presenter Patrick, 55, last July, after 13 years of marriage. The couple, who have two sons aged, ten and eight, married in an intimate wedding ceremony in Rome in 2012. Three years later Patrick, who is from Dundrum in County Down, stepped into the role as host of Ireland’s The Late Late Show on RTÉ, which resulted in long periods away from his family. Patrick would fly to Dublin on Tuesdays to begin work on the show, before returning on Saturdays after hosting his BBC radio show in Belfast. In 2023 Patrick admitted he didn’t feel like an equal in the marriage. He said: “For a long time I genuinely thought I was in a 50/50 partnership. “Then you realise you’re actually a junior shareholder in a 50/50 partnership.” Meanwhile, Cat previously confessed she struggled with her move back to the UK after having lived in America for over a decade, describing it as “really hard”. Discussing her reasoning for moving back Cat said: “It doesn’t feel as safe as it used to be. “There’s an edge, which wasn’t there before. The health system is failing miserably. After the pandemic there are lots of vulnerable people with severe mental health issues that have just fallen through the net.” Cat spent her 49th birthday in October, her first since the split, with friends. At the time, a source said: “Cat has a close knit group of pals who rallied around her.” Meanwhile, Patrick has just negotiated a bumper new deal to continue hosting The Late Late Show understood to be worth up to £25,000 per episode. HOL’S TIMELY RETURN By Hannah Hope HOLLY WILLOUGHBY has timed her big telly comeback to coincide with Cat Deeley’s summer break to avoid a battle of the sofas.
