Syria still committed to diplomatic option with Israel, FM Shaibani tells Arab League - report

(credit: Khaled DESOUKI / AFP via Getty Images)Syrian FM calls for exclusive control of armsDuring the meeting, SANA also reported that Shaibani called for the government to have exclusive control of weaponry in order to aid in the country's security.“Exclusive control of arms is a deterrent decision and an absolute sovereign right of the state, so that we can protect all Syrians and build together,” he said.He also reaffirmed Syria's solidarity with Gulf Arab states and Jordan since the start of the ongoing war against Iran, several of which have come under fire in Iranian attacks.
