The Reuters report, which cited six sources briefed on events, said that the meeting took place at the inviation of Turkish intelligence agencies in an effort to de-ecalate simmering tensions between the Syria and the Lebanese paramilitary and political party. "These claims are false," Syria's foreign media spokesperson wrote on X. "No such meeting took place."
