SYDNEY Sweeney has taken aim at Taylor Swift by showing off some underwear featuring the singer’s song lyrics. Sydney is dating Scooter Braun, who has long been embroiled in a huge feud with Taylor after he bought her masters in 2019. The printed-on quote emblazoned on the front of the knickers read: “But daddy, I love him.” Sign up for the Showbiz newsletter Thank you! But Daddy, I Love Him is a popular Taylor Swift song from her 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department. Sydney also wrote alongside the snap: “Panty packs with some of my lil sayings. Hehehe.” Swifties instantly picked up on Sydney seemingly using Taylor’s lyrics on her products. One person on X pointed out: “Sydney Sweeney, girlfriend to Scooter Braun, has a Taylor Swift lyric on a pair of panties that her brand is selling: ‘but daddy I love him’, and then she says it is one of her little sayings? Messy girl.” “TAYLOR SUE,” demanded one fan. “The audacity,” said another. Sydney’s boyfriend Scooter was at loggerheads with Taylor for more than six years. The feud began when his company acquired Big Machine Label Group, taking ownership of the master recordings for her first six albums. When it was revealed that Scooter owned Taylor’s masters, she claimed to be blindsided by his acquisition. She then blasted him for “the incessant, manipulative bullying I’ve received at his hands for years”. Scooter later sold Taylor’s back catalogue of masters to Shamrock Capital for about $300million (about £236million). Taylor later acquired her masters back directly from Shamrock. The hitmaker officially bought back the master recordings to her first six albums on May 30, 2025. She purchased them from Shamrock in a deal reportedly worth around $360 million. Comment now
