Missouri Tigers running back Ahmad Hardy was recently released from the hospital after being a victim in a scary shooting incident at a concert in Mississippi. While he focuses on working his way back to the field for the 2026-27 season, new reports reveal that a suspect has been arrested for allegedly shooting Hardy.Reports indicate that police arrested a 20-year-old man by the name of Rashodrick Harris for his alleged involvement in the shooting of Ahmad Hardy, according to ESPN. Harris, who is from Wayne County, Mississippi, was taken into custody after being found in Paducah, Kentucky, on Thursday, May 14.“A 20-year-old man wanted in connection to the shooting of Missouri football star Ahmad Hardy at an outdoor concert in Mississippi has been arrested,” reported ESPN. “Rashodrick Harris of Wayne County, Mississippi, was taken into custody in Paducah, Kentucky, on Thursday night and was awaiting extradition, Sgt. Macon Davis of the Laurel Police Department said.”It is said that Harris is being charged with two counts of aggravated assault. The investigation remains open, and Sgt. Macon Davis claimed that more arrests could be made. Rashodrick Harris is the fourth individual who has been taken into custody. The previous three were eventually released with no charges.“Harris will be charged with two counts of aggravated assault, Davis said. The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are possible, he said,” reported ESPN. “Three other people of interest who were taken into custody have been released with no charges, Davis said.”Ahmad Hardy, who will be a junior next season, was forced to undergo surgery after being shot in his upper leg. The hospital discharged the Missouri star on May 12, and his plan is to conduct his rehab for the surgery recovery with the Tigers' football program.Hardy is arguably one of the best running backs in the nation. After transferring from Louisiana-Monroe to Missouri, Hardy proved to be an elite weapon out of the backfield for the Tigers.
