THE US fell in love with Erling Haaland during the World Cup and maybe the WWE did too. Cody Rhodes, who will challenge CM Punk for the WWE title at SummerSlam this weekend, made an appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon where he was asked about certain celebrities getting in a WWE ring. Haaland captured hearts in the US during Norway‘s run to the quarter-finals this summer and he gained just over 32 million followers on social media as a result. And at 6ft5in, the 26-year-old would not look out of place in a WWE ring. That’s the same size as The Rock, for context. But there is zero chance of the Norwegian goalscoring machine swapping the box for the ring. He has plenty of years left on the pitch and many more goals to score. WWE does have a long history with celebrities getting involved in the fray, though.
