Suki and Eve left heartbroken in EastEnders as they face losing Ria

They cannot slip up (Picture: BBC) Suki and Eve Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal and Heather Peace) went through an awful lot to become foster parents to young Ria in EastEnders, but now there’s a chance they are going to lose her. Back when Suki discovered that Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James was pregnant, her desire to raise the baby clouded her senses. She acted heinously to convince Avani to continue with a pregnancy she clearly didn’t want, just so Suki and Eve could raise the baby. This storyline led to Eve and Suki beginning the process of becoming foster parents, but the journey wasn’t easy at all. Eve’s mother Norma (Jessica Turner) tried her hardest to put a spanner in the works, Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) and Priya Nandra-Hart’s (Sophie Khan Levy) family collapsed, and Suki viciously clashed with her son Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) when she learned he was expecting a baby with Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine). Despite the universe seemingly being against them both, Suki and Eve were accepted by the panel and welcomed a young girl called Ria into their home. Prior to this, Eve and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) are catching up while Ria and Albie have a playdate. When an upset Ash Panesar (Sakira Vel) arrives after news about her divorce, Eve takes her to the pub. When Suki enters, she’s unimpressed to find Ash and Eve tipsy, and then learns the news about Ria’s mum. In the week, with Suki refusing to attend, Eve convinces Ash to come along to the meeting with Harleen at Knight Fusion.
