ALAN Carr fought back tears as he was surprised with a top National Television Awards prize – and serenaded by Amanda Holden. The much-loved comedian, 50, received the prestigious Special Recognition Award at this year’s ceremony. Along with Amanda and Paloma, Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross, Graham Norton and Claudia Winkleman paid tribute to Alan via a special video.
