ITV star Alysia Vasey admitted she had fallen on hard times after finding herself sleeping on a sofa and left with just “five bin bags of clothes”. The TV star took to social media and said her life has dramatically changed since Christmas, telling her followers: “Thank you for all your support. Sign up for the TV newsletter Thank you! “You’ve managed to rebuild and come out the other end, it’s just tough. “I’ve been left with five bin liners of clothes before Christmas , it’s hard. There’s just been massive support and it means the world.” Alysia captioned the post: “Five bin liners of clothes were all I were left with at 54-years-old a week before Christmas, I had just had to buy a tonne of coal, spent Nans bit of inheritance money on replacing two logburners, bought a new cooker, a new stand up fridge and everything in for Christmas. “Thank you for all your support it means the world, and to all those going through what am going through especially, to those sleeping on a couch, to those trying to cope what’s happening to them, to those who like me are trying to take small steps forward. I know it’s hard, you didn’t deserve it. None of us did.” Just days ago, Alysia shared a heartbreaking video revealing her “marriage is over”. Most read in Showbiz Taking to Instagram, Alysia, who gave up her career as a teacher to become a full time forager, revealed the sad news. “So this is a hard one,” the wild food expert began. “So I feel like coming clean because there’s no point wearing a wedding ring when your marriage is over. “And it has been since before Christmas. I know I haven’t been married long.” Revealing what had happened to cause her split, the star, who hasn’t revealed the identity of her husband, only that he is a farmer, said: “I’m a big believer in love, marriage, everything. “But I just got taken for a ride. Got all the money taken from me. “Everything. Absolutely everything. It’s been a struggle. “Absolute struggle these last eight, nine months. I didn’t expect it.” Alysia then admitted: “I feel a bit embarrassed by it all, but it is what it is. “So I’m on my own and I didn’t expect that. “Anyway, I feel like I’ve come clean now, so it is what it is, isn’t it? Anyway, goodnight. I hope you’re all well.” Alysia’s sad post comes just a year and a half after she announced live on Saturday Kitchen she had got married. In February 2025, the excited star revealed she would be going by her new married surname of “Greenwood”. Host James said at the time: “I am not going to get the hang of this.
